About the doctor

The doctor's path and approach

After graduating, Viktorija chose radiology and completed full training in the specialty. She built up her practice in hospitals and outpatient medical centres in Latvia, so she is equally used to inpatient and outpatient diagnostics.

It matters to her that patients understand their results rather than being handed a dry report. That is why conversation is at the heart of her appointments: she describes the examination, shows what can be seen on the images and answers your questions.

No, a referral is not required — you just need to book a visit at a time that suits you.

The examinations use ultrasound, involve no radiation and are painless. An examination usually takes 15–20 minutes.

Having a preventive ultrasound once a year is a good habit: it helps spot changes in good time, like a regular technical inspection. If you have complaints or your doctor has ordered a follow-up, the doctor will set the timing.

Viktorija Osipenko sees adult patients. Information about ultrasound for children is on the page “Ultrasound for children”.

I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I was able to book — especially considering I had only been in Latvia for a couple of days. Very convenient.

I have had ultrasound scans in many places, but I have never met such an attentive and professional approach. They explained everything, answered my questions, and you can feel that they care about the patient.
