The urea breath test is the gold standard of non-invasive diagnosis. The bacterium produces the enzyme urease, which changes the CO₂ content of exhaled air. The device detects this change.
The procedure takes about 30 minutes on average, is completely safe and causes no discomfort. All you need to do is breathe out twice into a bag.
