Obtained a medical degree from Riga Medical Institute in 1978. To further her qualifications, she regularly enhanced her knowledge at oncology and proctology centers in Moscow (1980-1991). To keep up with the development of radiology and ultrasound (USG), she regularly attends international conferences and congresses. She has specialized particularly in oncological radiology: radiography, abdominal (liver, bile ducts, kidney, spleen, pancreas, adrenal glands) and pelvic organs (prostate, genital organs), as well as ultrasound of superficial tissues and organs. She provides both state-funded and paid services. She has worked for many years at RAKUS. She is a member of the Latvian Ultrasonographers Association and the Latvian Radiologists Association. She is also fluent in Russian.
